Fantastic Burgers at Fuddrucker’s
With burger joints popping up all over the place in Orange County it was time to see if Fuddrucker’s was still the leader on the Burger Board. I haven’t been there in years so I decided to take my daughter and we enjoyed a fun lunch together.
When we first arrived I was greeted by a giant Elvis. So fun! I loved the atmosphere and the overall vibe of this restaurant. It felt very casual and inviting.
Fuddrucker’s Concept
The concept of Fuddrucker’s is very simple. You order your food at the counter and then wait for them to give you your masterpiece. Their menu is full of variety . You can order regular hamburgers or you can order exotic things like elk, buffalo and wild boar. For the less adventurous you can still get a regular hamburger, chicken or a salad. Plus they have an awesome kids menu! Once they hand you your order you take it to their legendary Build Your Own market fresh produce bar. It’s stocked full of sun-ripened tomatoes, hand-leafed lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, pico de gallo, Fudds cheese sauce and lots of other fantastic fixins.
Restaurant Perks
One of the great things about Fuddrucker’s is they have a freestyle soda machines. These machines are touch screen soda fountains introduced by The Coca-Cola Company in 2009. The machines features over 125 different Coca-Cola drink products, and custom flavors.
Food
I ordered a 1/3 pound angus burger with fries. After my order was handed to me I went over to the topping station to jazz up my burger. They had all of my favorites. Pickles, tomatoes, relish, shredded lettuce, whole leaf lettuce, onions, peppers, and pico de gallo.
Here is my burger before all of the toppings.
And here is my burger after. It was so delicious. My burger was juicy, thick and meaty and I really felt like I was biting into something substantial. Not just a flimsy patty.
My daughter had the kids chicken tenders and french fries and she loved them. She is not a fan of burgers so it was nice to see that she enjoyed a non burger menu option. She is a little thing so she only ate half and we took the rest home for my son. I solved that evening’s dinner dilemma! The fries are really good too and they are seasoned which gives them a little kick.
After lunch we headed to the dessert station. They had a sundae bar and a bakery with cookies and other desserts. My daughter chose the sundae and they made her one with as many cherries as she wanted!
After leaving in a food coma I can honestly say Fuddrucker’s is still in my top 3 Burger joints. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to coming back to try something else on the menu. I have never had wild boar before but I bet it tastes good!

I love the drink dispenser and the angus beef burger! Oh my, now I have to keep my cravings in check. I am on a strict low salt, low fat diet because my blood sugar levels and total cholesterol are out of whack. Thanks for sharing. I will dream about this.
