Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar Fall Menu

Disclosure

Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar recently rolled out their fall menu and it is loaded with all kind of delicious foods that taste like a crisp, cool autumn day. On a recent visit We were able to sample nearly all of the new items and I am excited to share them with you.

Being that Whiskey is my all time favorite cocktail, I thoroughly enjoyed the Maple Bacon old-fashioned. It’s made with housemade bacon-washed tincup mountain whiskey, maple syrup, bitters, montenegro amaro liqueur, and bacon candy. Drinking this next to the fireplace out on the patio is my perfect idea of a date night with your significant other or a friend.

Another great cocktail option is the Myer Lemon Margarita. It’s made with Lunazul tequila, yuzu lime, triple sec, cilantro. Pucker up, you will want to kiss this margarita after you taste it!

Also, new on the appetizer menu is their crispy deviled eggs. These are very addicting as they are lightly fried, then topped with smoked paprika and bacon candy. Again, life is always better with more bacon.

Soup is a lot like a family. Each ingredient enhances the other. And it needs time to simmer to reach full flavor. Lazy’s dog’s Slow-cooked Lentil Soup (available jan-march) is loaded with slow-cooked lentils, onions, celery, carrots, tomatoes, garlic, bay leaves, coriander, thyme, curry and crema. It will warm you from head to toe.

if you want to  reminice back to your early childhood, I’d suggest trying the PB & J Burger. That’s right, Peanut butter and jelly on a burger. It’s really quite amazing. A grilled 1/2 lb beef patty is served on a toasted bun and topped with candied bacon, havarti, peanut butter, grape jelly, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. One bite and you will be hooked

Not in the mood for red meat but still want some protein? Try the Bone-in Apple-Sage Pork Chops. They are marinated for 24 hrs, grilled, served with roasted winter veggies + gravy. The roasted veggies are not only flavorful and healthy, but they will warm you up and are the perfect substitution for a salad.

The Cornish Game Hen is also a great white meat choice. Since it’s so close to Thanksgiving think of it as a mini thanksgiving dinner. It’s oven-roasted, served with carrots and feta, sausage and sweet corn stuffing, and apple-sage gravy.

If you are a vegetarian you will love the Spaghetti Squash & Beetballs. Spaghetti squash and zucchini ribbons are tossed with olive oil, garlic and marinara with vegetarian meatballs, topped with romano cheese, pesto, toasted pumpkin seeds and balsamic reduction.

Be sure to leave room for dessert! Your sweet tooth will thank you. The Apple-Huckleberry Open Face Pie is a solid choice. It’s like an apple pie but better! Wild huckleberries, apples, cinnamon + sugar, and salted caramel sauce are served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

If you have a gluten-intolerance or want something a little lighter, I’d suggest the Seven-Layer Chocolate Cake. Made with nutella buttercream, almond flour chocolate cake, raspberry sauce and whipped cream this dessert will make everyone happy.
