Celebrate Good Taste Weekend
Laguna Beach is well-known for great food, beautiful beaches and plentiful drinks. One of my favorite Hotels in Laguna Beach, The Surf & Sand’s Resort is hosting two events this coming march as part of Visit Laguna Beach’s annual Celebrate Good Taste Weekend.
Beer vs. Wine Tasting Event
Friday, March 7 from 5:30-8:30pm
Along with partners Stone Brewing and Constellation Wines, the annual “Beer vs. Wine Tasting Event” will take place on Friday, March 7 from 5:30-8:30pm at Surf & Sand’s scenic oceanfront pool deck. At the poolside event, five interactive stations will feature culinary standouts prepared by Chef David Fune will be served with a complimentary beer and wine pairing by ‘Dr.’ Bill Sysak (Stone Brewing) and Lisa Tuttle (Constellation Wine Brands). Guests will taste each dish and vote for their favorite pairing and at the end of the evening, winning pairs will be announced. Tickets to the event are $49 per person.
Beer Taste 101
Saturday, March 8 from 4-7pm
The following evening, ‘Dr.’ Bill Sysak will kick off ongoing beer pairings at the hotel throughout spring with “Beer 101” at the 15fiftyfive Lounge. From 4-7pm, ‘Dr.’ Bill will pair the new 15fiftyfive Spring Menu with his favorite craft beers. The menu will be a la carte, and no reservations are necessary.
