Celebrate Celebrate seafood at Brio Italian This Spring

Disclosure

I love spring time in Southern California because there are so many great places to dine al fresco. One of my favorite places to do this is at Brio Tuscan Grill in Irvine Spectrum. They have a semi-covered patio that feels like you stepped into the Italian countryside.

Now through June17th Brio is having their Spring celebration where the focus is on seafood.  At lunch and dinner guests can enjoy delicious seafood dishes. Offerings include:

  • Strawberry Balsamic Salmon Salad: Mixed greens, salmon, grapes, spicy pecans, Gorgonzola, herb vinaigrette (available at lunch only)
  • Grilled Salmon Fresca: Grilled asparagus, sweet potatoes, spinach, red peppers, pesto vinaigrette, Feta, tomatoes, balsamic glaze
  • Shrimp Mediterranean: Spicy grilled shrimp, orzo, farro, broccoli, asparagus, grape tomatoes, spinach, Feta, pesto vinaigrette
  • Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli: Spicy black pepper cream, spinach, grape tomatoes

Seasonal Cocktails

Seasonal cocktails are also available to accompany these dishes and include a Blackberry FizzBlackberry Cooler and Blackberry Infused Cosmo. I enjoyed a Blackberry cooler and it was seriously like drinking a vacation in a glass! Super cool, super refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to some great appetizers.

Brio Appetizers

My favorite appetizer of all time is the Burrata and Ciabatta. It’s creamy and luxurious and I am certain you will love it. Also very impressive is their lobster bisque soup. There are some significantly large pieces of lobster in it and the sweet taste of sherry will have you coming back for more.

If you love calamari, their Calamari Fritto Misto is a 10+. It comes served with a side of Marinara and a creamy Dijon sauce.

Seafood Entrees

The Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli has a slight kick to it due to the spicy black pepper added to the cream sauce but it is mellowed out by the rich green spinach, grape tomatoes. This was very tasty and definitely something I would order again.

The Shrimp Mediterranean also has an ever bigger kick to it with spicy grilled shrimp, orzo, farro, broccoli, asparagus, grape tomatoes, spinach, Feta, pesto vinaigrette. There is a lot going on in this dish and it does not dissapoint. If you have never tried farro before I would suggest giving this nutty and delicious grain a try!

Dessert

I have a hard time saying no to dessert and I am so glad I didn’t this time. A nice scoop of vanilla bean gelato was perfect for cleansing my palate. If you want something heartier I’d suggest the Crème Brulee with strawberries. Both were a great way to finish off a delicious lunch.
