Creamistry – Best Ice Cream Ever!

I love Ice Cream! I prefer Ice Cream over cookies, cake, candy….really anything. So last week I took the kids to this really cool Ice Cream shop called Creamistry. Creamistry makes Ice Cream on the spot with liquid nitrogen. I was sure this ice cream would not taste as good as the slow churned stuff but let me tell you….this is the best dang ice cream I have ever tasted! When we walked in the place was pretty busy. Of course we went in the middle of a heat wave and what is the best treat in the middle of a heat wave? Ice Cream of course! As we were standing in line I watched the employees behind the counter make the ice cream. They put all of the liquid ingredients and add-in toppings in a giant mixing bowl, stuck it on the mixer base, turned it on and then pushed the nozzle for the liquid nitrogen. The kids LOVED this part because the smoke was all over the place!

So the secret to the creamiest ice cream EVER is in the rapid freezing of the mixture. Because liquid nitrogen is so cold it causes the milk particles to stay very small creating an ultra smooth and creamy texture. We were more than ready to try our concoctions! Erik got Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Cream with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Marshmallow on top. Rylee got Strawberry Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles on top. And I got Chocolate Nutella with Cookie Dough mixed in. It was fantastic and we were all 3 in heaven! The kids and I gobbled up our ice cream and before we were even done they said they wanted to come back. Erik said this was the best ice cream he has ever eaten and I would have to agree. They have 3 bases to choose from: Signature Premium, Organic and Real Fruit Sorbet. They also have TONS of flavors and TONS of toppings/mix-ins. They also have waffle bowls and brownie bowls to put your ice cream in.
