Exciting New Line Up Of Appetizers and Libations At Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern
One thing I love to do with my girlfriends about once or twice a month is meet up with them for happy hour at a local bar or tavern. Sometimes we get tired of the same food and drink though, so when i found out a local tavern near by me has a new lineup I emailed my friends and told them we need to start planning a girls night out!
The concept behind JFAT was Inspired by the early tavern tradition of Renaissance England. Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern, or JFAT, is a modern day social-gathering place specializing in handcrafted cocktails and local brews while offering up a unique twist on American comfort food classics. Keeping in this spirit, Jimmy’s has created a happy hour that will provide a welcoming tavern feel paired with a value driven menu designed with a variety of choices that represent Jimmy’s artisanal approach to American regional classics. Located in the heart of Dana Point Harbor, Jimmy’s is a convenient location for friends and coworkers to relax and unwind over handcrafted cocktails and an array of craveable homemade appetizers.
Guests are encouraged to share an assortment of small and large plates starting at $4 and choose from the offerings of draft beers which are $2 off, premium well drinks priced at $4, specialty ‘FAT Happy Hour’ cocktails priced at $5, and select wines priced at $6. Happy Hour is available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Highlights from the appetizer selection include a bowl of hearty Turkey Chili with Sour Cream, Cheddar Cheese and Scallions; a duo of Certified Angus Ground Beef Sliders topped with Crispy Onions and Blue Cheese Sauce; and the Fire-Grilled Flatbread with Pear, Black Fig Jam, Gorgonzola, Fontina, Prosciutto and fresh Arugula.
Popular signature cocktails include Sofia’s Skinny Margarita made with Partida Blanco Tequila, Agave Nectar and fresh lemon and lime juice; Lori’s Lemonade made with Ketel One Vodka and housemade lemonade; and the Cucumber Cooler made with American Harvest Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, fresh cucumber and lemon juice.
