Fall Menu at BJ’s Restaurant and Brew House
Dining out is is one of life’s simple pleasures. Many find it rewarding and people tend to gravitate towards restaurants that can offer them an experience alongside their meal. BJ’s restaurant and Brewhouse is the answer to this and can offer guests an encounter where they can get craft beer and order from a menu of high-quality food–all in a fun, casual, accommodating setting.
I recently dined at the Laguna Hills location and was pleasantly suprised to find some new menu items I haven’t tried before.
The first thing that caught my eye was the handcrafted root beer. You either love root beer or hate it, and, fortunately, I love root beer more than anything. My friend Erin also had the rootbeer and she really enjoyed it! It is served in a frosty mug and the refills are endless.
BJ’s Appetizers
It was almost as if they were reading my mind because the next thing I saw was root beer glazed wings and ribs! That sounded so good to me, so of course I ordered the ribs, and let me tell you, this was the best thing I have ever had at BJ’s. There were 5 hearty ribs on a plate and the meat was so tender it just fell off the bone. It’s served with a light coleslaw that I loved since it wasn’t swimming in mayonnaise.
BJ’s Handcrafted Beers
BJ’s is known for their handcrafted beer made with the highest-quality ingredients (149 awards since 1996, to be exact) so, being that it was fall I ordered their Pumpkin Ale with a shot of fireball whiskey. It is topped with a cinnamon sugared rim so if you are a beer lover you will enjoy this. If you are a whiskey drinker and not a beer drinker, I don’t know if you will feel the same way. It’s an interesting combination, but it will definitely quench your thirst and the rim on this drink is incredible!
BJ’s Entrees
BJ’S makes a really killer Chicago-style deep dish pizza, but did you know that they also have an EnLIGHTened menu that has a variety of items under 795 calories, as well as a gluten free menu? On my visit, I chose to order something on the lighter side so I picked the Mediterranean chicken pita tacos. It came with seasoned grilled chicken breast, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese and cilantro tossed in red wine vinaigrette and drizzled with Greek yogurt crema in a chargrilled pita. It also came with a side of seasonal bistro grains.
My friend Erin chose the Roast Beef Dip which had thinly sliced roast beef, swiss cheese, caramelized onions and roasted garlic aioli on a chargrilled French roll. Her meal was so big she ended up taking half of it home for dinner that evening. The portions at BJ’s are very generous and we both were very satisfied.

BJ’s Dessert
No meal at BJ’s is complete without a pizookie no matter how full you are. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team and keep going. That is why we ordered the Limited Time Pumpkin Pizookie. A Pumpkin flavored cookie mixed with a cream cheese swirl is served hot with a cold scoop of vanilla ice cream. We ordered a mini, but they come in a variety of sizes.
I had a great experience at BJ’s and I am looking forward to going back to try their amazing Pizza and pasta.
