Fashionably Early Wednesdays At Anqi
Costa Mesa’s sexiest restaurant and night club, Anqi, is at it again with ” Fashionably Early Wednesdays” the sister to their Fashionably Late Fridays. I’m sure you all know by now that Anqi is my all time favorite restaurant in OC for so many reasons (you can read why here) so I was excited to see what this new special was all about at a recent media preview.
During “Fashionably early Wednesdays”, drink special happen from 4pm-7pm with a DJ from 6:30-9:30. The ambiance here is trendy and fun and the service is outstanding. But best of all the flavors of the food are always on point.
During the preview we sampled several cocktails that are offered. A description of each one is below:
INDOCHINE
Plymouth Gin, St. Germain, Tyku Liqueur, Hand Pressed Cucumber & Lime
PEAR FUSION
grey goose pear, st. germain, muddled asian pear, fresh lemonade

We also sampled some delectable small bites that had my taste buds begging for more.
TOMBO TUNA CRISPY WONTON TACO
yuzu-kosho, Hass avocado, macadamia nut, white truffle, black tobiko caviar
ANQI CHAR-GRILLED COLOSSAL PRAWNS
tumeric fried rice, bilboa chorizo, manilla clams, piquillo pepper fume, quinzoi liaison
MISOYAKI BUTTERFISH (it just melts in your mouth like butter)
Aromatic red cargo rice, thai herbs, broccolini, dijon-misoyaki glaze
AN’S FAMOUS GARLIC NOODLES
w/ chargrilled lobster from the Secret Kitchen
Anqi Attire
The attire at AnQi is “casual chic,”. You may feel out of place if you are in cargo shorts and flip-flops, but you definitely do not need an evening gown. When you are dining at AnQi, you will feel like you are in a swanky Los Angeles restaurant, which makes sense, as AnQi’s sister restaurant is located in Beverly Hills.
