Flatbread has made it’s way to Corner Bakery!
Today my son Erik and I went and had lunch at Corner Bakery in Lake Forest. We love Corner Bakery! They have the freshest food and plenty of variety to choose from. They are always bringing out new items and I always try them. Because I have yet to find an item they have brought out that I haven’t liked. This time around I saw that they had new Grilled Flats. Basically it’s flatbread grilled with yummy stuff inside.
FLATBREAD THE WAY IT SHOULD BE
I ordered the pick 2 Grilled Flats. There are 4 to choose from: Southwest Chicken, BBQ Pork, Chicken Caesar and Caprese. I decided on the BBQ Pork and the Chicken Caesar. And it comes with either chips or carrots. I (of course) chose chips.
The BBQ Pork Grilled Flat consists of pulled pork and crunchy slaw drizzled with avocado ranch dressing and topped with house-pickled onions on warm, grilled flatbread. The pork was melt in your mouth tender and the slaw gave it a nice crunch. The sweet and salty of the BBQ sauce and avocado ranch dressing was perfect!
The Chicken Caesar Grilled Flat consists of all-natural grilled chicken and romaine, drizzled with Caesar dressing and topped with bruschetta tomatoes and Parmesan cheese on warm, grilled flatbread. I loved this one! The flavors from the tomatoes were perfectly paired with the chicken and dressing. So delish!!
I asked my son if he wanted to try the new flatbread sandwiches and of course he said no. He gets one thing and one thing only at Corner Bakery. Pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon with milk. Seriously if this kid could eat breakfast all day long he would. That’s why he loves Corner Bakery. They serve this meal all…day….long. I do have to say they have the best pancakes I have ever tasted.
We finished our meal with my favorite sugar cookies washed down with a black currant iced tea. I can still say that Corner Bakery makes the best food. After trying these new Grilled Flats I have just added one more thing to my favorites list for Corner Bakery.
