Insta Worthy Shakes In Las Vegas
When dining in Las Vegas, you go big or you go home. And we found just the place for you to achieve this: Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer inside the Venetian. Black Tap is known for its sensational Crazy Shakes and large meal portions. So on a recent visit we decided to check out their menu. We actually live close to the Downtown Disney Black Tap in Anaheim and the menu in Vegas varies slightly.
Where is Black Tap Located?
Black Tap is located in the Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian Hotel. Walk straight through the Grand Colonnade and enter The Venetian casino floor. Take the left-hand walkway and continue straight until you reach the Wheel of Fortune slots. Take the walkway to the left of the Wheel of Fortune slots and turn left past Noodle Asia. Black Tap will be straight ahead.
What Kind of Food Does Black Tap Serve Serve?
Black Tap is a throw-back style eatery and is inspired by the old-school NYC luncheonettes. Black Tap is a fresh, fun take on the classic burger joint, upscale but never fussed up. You will find burgers, sandwiches, salads, and shakes. When we went we decided to try the Crispy Brussels sprouts with sesame-tahini and the chips and queso.
Keep in mind that the cauliflower appetizer comes fried, which we didn’t know but it is still very delicious. The chips and queso were amazing and the cheese stayed nice and creamy the entire time.
We also tried the Cheetos Chopped Salad for something a lighter. It comes with green leaf lettuce, napa cabbage, fresh corn, spicy black beans, diced avocado, pico de gallo, red and green peppers, cilantro, scallion, cotija cheese, chipotle honey grilled chicken, radish, flaming hot lime cheetos, and chipotle buttermilk dill.
This salad is wicked spicy! My advice is to order the cheetos on the side. But the lettuce was super fresh and the toppings were all nice and crispy.
We also got kept it simple by going with the All-American Burger. It comes with a prime burger patty, American cheese, special sauce, lettuce, and tomato.
Also, Black Tap legit has the most AMAZING deli pickles you have ever had in your entire life!
Just How Big are Black Tap’s Shakes?
Oh they are huge! There are 8 crazy shakes and 11 classic shakes. We had the cookie shake with a vanilla frosted rim with cookie crumbles topped with a ‘cookiewich’, crumbled cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle. And we also had the cake shake: A vanilla frosted rim with rainbow sprinkles topped with a funfetti cake slice, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles & a cherry. Both are big enough to feed 2-3 people.
In the past we have also tried the strawberry shortcake: A vanilla frosted rim with crumbled cake topped with a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar, pink & white twisty pop, whipped cream, strawberry drizzle, crumbled cake & a cherry.
And a bam bam shake: A vanilla frosted rim with fruity pebbles topped with a fruity pebbles rice krispy treat, strawberry pop tart, laffy taffy, whipped cream & a cherry.
Black Tap also serves old school beepers, wine, alcoholic , slushies, hard ciders and spirits. They even have a nitro cold brew coffee.
Blogger Tip #1: For $2 extra you can upgrade your fries to get the biggest and crunchiest onion rings I have ever seen.
Blogger tip #2: Black Tap dies not take reservations. It is first come first serve so arrive early. If you have a party that is 10 or more you can contact the event coordinator.
Blogger Tip#3: The food at Black Tap is extremely aesthetic. Take the time to snap some photos for the gram. If you order a shake be prepared for random guests to come up to you ad snap a photo of it. Happened to use twice in the same sitting.
