Lemonade opens in Irvine

Get ready OC, Lemonade is opening it’s second Orange County location this Monday! This trendy LA-based restaurant is now located in Irvine at the Park Place Plaza.

Haven’t heard of Lemonade before? Chances are, you have because they have been the talk of the town. If not, let me fill you in: Lemonade is a cafeteria style restaurant that offers a wide variety of salads, entrees and desserts. This is definitely not the cafeteria food of your elementary school years!

There are so many items to choose from, I would suggest you study the menu ahead of time or you might hold up the line, for like an hour, trying to decide! It is all fresh and in season and the offerings continue to change with the season so that the produce is at its peak.

I was able to go in to Lemonade and try several of their delicious items. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Roasted Carrots, Sunchokes, Avocado, Almond salad was crisp and refreshing.

The Avocado, Cherry Tomato, Pine Nut, Lime salad was creamy and tangy.

The Israeli Couscous, Wild Mushroom, Parmesan, Lemon Truffle was hearty and still light.

The Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Caramelized Onion, Grape Glaze was so well seasoned, with a slight sweetness.

The White Truffle Mac ‘n Cheese is pure comfort food. Indulgent, creamy, and decadent.

My favorite had to be the Heirloom Tomato, Burrata, Crushed Orange-Ginger Ponzu. A cup of fresh marinated cheese and sweet chunks of tomato? Yes please!

And since you are at Lemonade, don’t forget to grab a lemonade! Blood Orange was my pick. Tart and refreshing!

Lemonade has a menu that won’t disappoint. There is something to please every palate. From salad to sandwich, chili to flatbread, cupcakes to custards, pot roast to mashed potatoes and so much more, it is all available at Lemonade!
