New Hot Dog Restaurant Coming To Mission Viejo
Families in OC will soon be able to sink their teeth into some juicy kosher hot dogs when “The Pound” opens at the Kaleidescope Center in Mission Viejo.
The Pound will offer Hebrew National quarter-pound hot dogs with no fillers, no by-products, no artificial flavors or colors and no gluten. The hamburger patties will be 100 percent American chuck beef, pure, never frozen, with no additives, fillers or preservatives. The Pound will also offer, hand-dipped corn dogs, pure beef hamburgers, Bavarian bratwurst, Polska kielbasa, Louisiana hot links, fresh-cut fries made from whole Kennebec Idaho potatoes, house chili, fresh-baked brioche buns, and pure ice cream milk shakes.Yum!!
This fast-casual counter service restaurant will have a made-to-order format where customers top their own dogs, burgers and fries with a customized order sheet. THE POUND offers unique topping like chili, bacon, fried onions, fried egg, avocado, a variety of cheeses, sauerkraut, jalapeños, pickles, a variety of sauces, including Sabrett® onion sauce, and more.
If you notice there is a “Dog Tag” in the logo. This is a symbol of The Pound’s permanent promotion. Custom dog tags will be given to customers who add the “secret ingredient of the day” to one of their dog or burger creations. The custom dog tag will entitle the winning customer to a 10 percent discount anytime they wear the necklace to The Pound. They also honor U.S. Military service men and women by offering a 10 percent appreciation discount to those who show their real dog tags.
