New Reimagined Menu at CPK
CPK Interior
Recently I heard about their new reimagined menu so I decided to take my family to the Laguna Hills location to try it out. To my surprise when I walked in it had been completely remodeled. The decor is now done up in woods, browns, and greens. Gone are the 90’s era pizza box art on the walls, replaced by great photography and an absolutely gorgeous color palette!
CPK Food & Drink
CPK’s menu has been completely reimagined. The new menu includes CPK’s signature hand-tossed pizza favorites like the iconic Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, with new options in appetizers, salads, sides and seasonal dishes, like the Brussels + Bacon Flatbread. New main plates include a Fire-Grilled Ribeye with housemade pinot noir sea salt and topped with creamy bleu cheese butter, served with roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon-garlic wild arugula salad, as well as Hearth-Roasted Halibut, wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash, farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale. For those with specific dietary needs, CPK also has options that are under 650 calories, vegetarian or gluten-free. They also provide allergen information to those with food sensitivities.
On our recent visit, my husband and I were perusing the menu when I came across the Blueberry ginger smash! I am a whiskey girl at heart so this particular drink called out to me. We both decided to try one and I am so glad we did. It is served in a highball glass with Jack Daniel’s, agave nectar, Domaine de Canton Ginger liqueur, fresh blueberries, lime and cranberry juice. It is garnished prettily with a skewer of blueberries and a sliver of candied ginger. I found it to be fruity and refreshing without being overwhelmingly boozy.
Before I continue though I just want to say our waitress Jordan, was incredible. If any of you go to the Laguna Hills Location please ask for Jordan. She was exceptional!
Appetizers
Personally I love appetizers and order them whenever I can. I had seen a friend’s Instagram photo of this new Lobster flatbread she had tried a few weeks ago at CPK, and I really wanted to try it so that was the first thing I ordered. I absolutely loved the combination of different flavors. It had just the right amount of mayo, fresh herbs, arugula and shaved red onions.
My husband had the Spinach artichoke dip and you can never go wrong with that. It is always so satisfying.
Main Entrees
Typically, I would order a pizza when I come to CPK as that is what the are known for but this time I wanted to branch out a bit. A big juicy steak sounded awesome so I ordered the Fire Grill Rib Eye with fingerling potatoes, blue cheese butter, and arugula. The presentation was spot on and it tasted just as good as it looked. I would recommend ordering this steak medium.
My husband had the Roasted Garlic Chicken + Seasonal Vegetables Crispy skin chicken breast in lemon-garlic sauce with hearth-roasted fingerling potatoes, heirloom carrots, and it too was presented in a very beautiful display. I really enjoyed how our food was layered, and strategically placed on our plates as there were no bare spaces showing and our food filled up most of the plate.
My son enjoyed the Spicy Chipotle Pizza on a gluten-free crust and we couldn’t even tell the difference. I love corn on pizza and the flavors in this dish were really good.
Dessert
Our waitress had mentioned something about a smores dessert so we ordered that, along wth a salted caramel pudding and a kids mini sundae. I loved that all of the desserts come in little budino jars. How cute!! There is something about eating out of a jar that just makes everything taste better.
My son was going crazy over how good his sundae was and he kept talking about it even when we got home. My husband was curious about what was so amazing about this sundae so when he got home he discovered that they use haagen-das ice cream in all of their sundaes! That is about as good as it gets.
So if you are hungry and want to go somewhere everyone will be happy, pick CPK. There is something for everyone. To find your nearest CPK click here.
