Peppermint Candy Cane Cooler

My absolute favorite thing about Christmas time even though I don’t celebrate it is the never ending display of peppermint flavored food items at the store. Particularly at Trader Joe’s. There is just something about it that makes me smile. It makes me want to put a little dance in my step. I love it so much that I even buy Peppermint extract so I can put it in my hot chocolate throughout the year.

So I am very excited to share with you a Peppermint cocktail recipe from NoMa Social in New York.

Peppermint Candy Cane Cooler

Ingredients:

1 tbs crushed soft peppermint candy
1½ fl oz vodka
splash of white creme de menthe
¼ fl oz brandy
½ fl oz half-and-half
Crushed ice
Peppermint stick for garnish
Mint sprig for garnish

Directions:

Combine the vodka and crushed peppermint. Stir to dissolve. Add the remaining ingredients, stir and garnish.
