Rubios Introduces The New Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito
Shrimp is one of my all time favorite foods. You can put it in nearly any dish or just eat it by itself. I often order anytime I dine where there is seafood on the menu. Rubios is no exception.
This week Rubios introduced the new sustainable Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito and revamped fan favorite, Burrito Especial, to its menu. The dishes, created and developed by Co-founder, Ralph Rubio, and Rubio’s culinary team, represent Rubio’s dedication to providing its guests with interesting and complex flavors.
The new Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito features pan-seared sustainable shrimp, basted in ancho chiles, garlic, cilantro, a blend of canola and olive oil, and a squeeze of lime. While the new Burrito Especial comes layered with the choice of either chicken or steak, marinated in garlic, onion, pepper, and a special blend of spices. Both burritos include Rubio’s new citrus rice, flavored with lime juice and lemongrass. Served in a warm flour tortilla, the burritos come complete with fresh guacamole, black beans, salsa fresca, crisp romaine lettuce and are drizzled with a creamy chipotle sauce and red tomatillo salsa.
