Sharky’s Aliso Viejo
Since 1992, Sharky’s has been the “feel good about eating” place that people go to for fresh, organic, clean healthy food. What sets Sharky’s apart from the rest of the competition is that accommodate a variety of different lifestyles from health-oriented to socially conscious eating styles. For instance, you can order a vegan rice or burrito bowl with steamed broccoli or baby greens or you can order a steak platter or chicken nachos. Either way each dish on the sharky’s menu is measured in caloric and nutritional representations so guests can choose the fuel caliber of their food.
Sharky’s Appetizers
At a recent dining experience, I tasted first hand exactly how impressive their food was. We started out with some chips and guacamole that were very flavorful. The guacamole was just chunky enough and the chips were dusted with a lime salt that was so addicting.
Sharky’s Drinks
Sharky’s has several new drinks on their menu. All of them are light and refreshing, especially on a hot day.
- Watermelon basil lemonade
- Hibiscus Ginger Tea
- Hibiscus Lemonade
- Sangria
***Please NOTE: The lemonades and teas mentioned above are not available at all locations. They are rolling them out to new and redesigned locations first.
Sharky’s Food
Guests can feel safe knowing that Sharky’s uses several ingredients that are GMO- free. Their corn and their organic tofu is non-GMO Project verified and U.S. Grown. Their chicken breast contains no added preservatives, hormones or phosphates and their cheese and sour cream is rBGH-free. During my meal here I tasted a variety of really good food that tasted fresh and healthy.
On the top left are the Original steak street tacos with just onions, cilantro and chips. The picture to the right is Sharky’s salsa bar with an endless variety of salsa that will make your tastebuds do the happy dance. Make sure you get the avocado salsa as it tastes great on everything. Under the salsa is the Quinoa salad with organic red & white quinoa, organic baby spinach, cabbage, jicama, cucumber, sweet peppers, green onions, cilantro, avocado vinaigrette topped with avocado slices & sprinkle of toasted flax & chia seeds. Wow, this was probably one of the best salads I have ever had. Next is the shrimp tacos and you should know that all of Sharky’s fish is wild caught and has no added phosphates. Next is the tortilla soup, then the stacked enchiladas and finally the steak power platter. The beef at Sharky’s is all natural Angus beef which is antibiotic free and has no added hormones.
I mentioned to my friends after we finished eating that, although I was incredibly full I did not feel like I ate a bunch of greasy fast food. Instead, I felt satisfied and happy that I put only the freshest of ingredients into my body and it was like my body was thanking me for it.
