Thaitanium – Great Decor, Average Food

Yesterday my brother and I went to visit my parents in Laguna Woods and decided to stop for lunch at the new Thai Restaurant there called Thaitanium. I love the name and was looking forward to our experience.

I was very impressed upon entering. It reminded me of being in Vegas with all of the neon and bright colors. I give them an A+ in decor. They had a full bar/Lounge and beautiful modern wine racks on the wall.

We decide to sit at the bar for lunch. A very nice gentleman took our order and was very friendly and checked on us throughout our meal.

I ordered the lunch special pad thai and my brother ordered the basil chicken. I think this is where I lost all impression that I had when I walked in. The Pad Thai was way too tangy and had too many onions in it. I couldn’t taste any peanut flavor at all.

My brother said his chicken was a little on the bland side.

It is quite possible we just ordered the wrong dishes and I am more than happy to give this place a second try but going on first impressions I wasn’t all that happy.

I’d love it if someone who has been here could tell me their opinion?!?!
