Tortilla Jo’s offering Weekend Brunch

Your weekends just got a whole lot more exciting! Tortilla Jo’s in Downtown Disney is now offering a weekend brunch featuring some mouthwatering Mexican specialties like Huevos Rancheros and Chile Rellenos.

At a recent media tasting, I got to experience first hand just how delicious this brunch really is. First of all, you cannot beat the location. Smack in the center of a bustling entertainment complex, Tortilla Jo’s offers guests an unforgettable experience in Mexican Cuisine. When you first enter you are greeted with vibrant bright colors and giant vaulted ceilings. There is even a second story with a gorgeous balcony that overlooks all of Downtown Disney!

Our brunch started off with some delicious mimosas and yummy margaritas. While this isn’t on the brunch menu, I highly recommend their guacamole! Their salsa is also very very good but their guacamole is outstanding!

MACHACA CON HUEVOS CHILE RELLENO

First up on the brunch menu was machaca con huevos chile Relleno. Shredded beef and egg stuffed poblano chile, smoked tomato salsa, served with Mexican rice and refried beans. It was my first time having a chile Relleno but I really enjoyed it. There were so many flavors in this dish.

HUEVOS RANCHEROS

Next up were Huevos Rancheros. Corn tortilla, refried beans, two sunny side up eggs, salsa ranchera, cotija cheese, served with papas a la Mexicana. The egg is such a nice touch.

CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST

Then came the Cinnamon French Toast. Brioche, cinnamon, candied walnuts, cajeta syrup, horchata whipped cream. Let me just tell you that this dish will make your eyes roll into the back of your head. It’s THAT good!

 

Apple Spring Salad

If you want something a bit on the lighter side, try the apple spring salad.  It has julienned gala apples, jicama, mango, watermelon radish, watercress, toasted Marcona almonds, oatmeal, dried blueberries and vanilla yogurt dressing. 

Fresh Fruit

Cleanse your palate with a plate of ripe fresh fruit. The Pineapple was incredibly sweet and the berries were so delicious and fresh.

Finish off your meal with an amazing display of fried churros and cinnamon apple rolls, both drizzled in chocolate. Life doesn’t get much better than this folks!
